Hello missingPAul, thanks for the comment. This really is a cool place. I'm from south central Pa but whenever we get to this part of the state, I always check this place out. Chuck
I just added a photograph to google earth, that is very similar to one of yours. I took it 25 years ago and had no clue of it's location. I was following my route on google earth and looking at photographs and recognized yours, as close to one of mine. Your title helped me identify my photograph. Thanks for posting your photograph.
i like all your snow. i got a similar shot out the window on 160 in spring. i think the location i placed mine at is very similar to what you found. that's cherry cairn behind there, i believe.

Photoleif thank you very much for the photo and my apologies for my slowness in replying.
Love the effects of using slide film. See my tag 'transparencies' some time. I think it will come back in fashion one day.
:o)
But why????
I have visited the summits of mountains in the French Alps only to find them covered in flies and an impossible place to eat lunch.
Once, many years ago, it was a radar system on top of a high steel tower that seemed to be the perfect home.
Much is a mystery to me! But I do know that these mountains in Colorado took some beating.
Awesome cloud.
