Hello. Many years ago I discovered the Panoramio layer in Google earth. I loved the concept, it greatly improved the GE user experience. I was happy to learn that I could contribute too. So, in August 2008 I decided to join the fun. This gallery is mainly for photos destined for Google earth, but there are some other photos here too. Some photos are simply "point and click" photos taken on the run. Others are more elaborate, being more artistic or planed in general. I am just a happy amateur which love to take pictures, and hate missed opportunities for a good photo. I am especially fond of HDR picures, and to make large panorama sceneries. I'm also trying to make better low light photos and want to improve my photo skills in general. ________________________________________ I'm from and living in Norway, the rocky European outpost in the northern Atlantic ocean. Fantastisk fin fjellet, og fint bilde :)

I recently obtained a Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 for Sony E-Mount, and I know this lens is going to require me to do a little learning to use well.

So after doing some reading, I put "ultrawide -fisheye site:www.panoramio.com" into a google image search. I pick out ten examples that seem to stand out, and end up at a photo by my friend Kevin Childress. I didn't realize it was yours until after I opened it. Well done, Kevin. I think the HDR is more cooked than I would have done, but it doesn't ruin the image.

I'm guessing that you were well under a foot from the pedistal. Do you remember?

La prima neve! Che bella! L1

Ciao, Nick

Diane : Been up a few mountains.. first time i came across goat. i could get no closer though ;)

PeterPB : i gush at your enthusiastic praise. i'm sure you made the goat's day too.

gezginruh : Hi. Thank~you for your visits and thoughtful comments. Have a good one :)

Roar : Yup. Guarding HIS mountain. :D

Sorry to hear that. How unfortunate. We tend to minimise the seemingly remote risks we are in fact taking on some of our adventures....
