As a matter of facts, those hills are agricultural lands (one cas see the many terraces built to keep water) of the Palestinians who live in the villages all arround to the North West of Ramallah. There are at least 2 illegal Israeli colonies to the East, 3 to the West, and many more to the South; and we're talking of a few kilometers. And all the check points and the huge Wall which are making every inhabitants moves not that funny.
