Just in case people run across this when figuring out whether they can go to Polihale or not, here is the road as of Summer 2008. Note that it is good shape, just follow the mile marker directions in Kauai Revealed. Also, watch the sand once you get to the beach. If you want to make it to the farthest camp ground, get a 4 wheel drive, or let air out of your tires.
