In my opinion the Mekong Delta is a lot safer compared to Sài Gòn and Ha Nội. As you can see in America too the bigger the city, the less friendly people would be. Naturally, the people in the Mekong Delta don't have to try that hard for a living because it is the biggest "rice bowl" of the country. The traffic is "thinner", less horning sound ;) and dirt therefore the air is much better in quality. One more thing that I really like about the Mekong Delta is the river system acting as a huge air conditioner which gives you a better weather pattern. Hope you can make it there one day... cheers
