Thanks for sharing your photo of this classic municipal water tank, dating from around 1960. It is supported by six tubular steel legs, with a height of 135 feet. For many years, the small ball on top was used by surveyors, when sighting over long distances.

They were just torn down. So sad. A good childhood reminder now forgotten in history. This land was owned by Mr Woodrow Lassitter since early 1900's.
