Photo was taken 8/29/08 with a Canon G9 attached to a kite aerial photography (KAP) rig, which was attached to the line of a Sutton Flowform 30 kite. This is my self-portrait. I'm on the breakwater at the end of the kite line in the lower left portion of the picture. The Young Brothers barge (how we get most of our supplies on Kauai) is headed back to Honolulu. In the distance are Ninini Point and Ninini Lighthouse.

Photo was taken 8/16/08 with a Canon G9 camera. ISO 200, f/3.20, 1.6 second exposure, using the back of my beach chair as a camera stabilizing platform (left the tripod home...). I was at the west end of Shipwreck Beach and had my gear packed up and was starting to leave when I noticed the light changing. Looking back toward the east and Makawehi Point, I saw the clouds had parted, exposing the rising full moon. It was just too good to not photograph, so I stuck around and got this shot.

Photo was taken 9/7/08 with a Canon G9 attached to a kite aerial photography (KAP) rig, which was attached to the line of a Sutton Flowform 30 kite. Lydgate Beach Park is in the foreground, Aloha Beach Resort to the left, the mouth of the Wailua River and Wailua Beach and Wailua Bay in the center, and in the far distance, Kong Mountain.

Photo was taken 8/26/08 with a Canon G9 attached to a kite aerial photography (KAP) rig, which was attached to the line of a Sutton Flowform 30 kite. A consistent set of waves were forming where the outgoing Lumahai River flow was meeting with the incoming surf, attracting local and tourist body boarders, body surfers, and a few board surfers.
