This Island is called "Little Rock Island" the bigger island next to it is "Big Rock Island"
Beautiful camping spot with sand beach 100 yards east of islands.
The Yellow Tree and Island was Burned a few years back due to some dummy making a fire on the fragile island. Great swimming spot with a good jumping height off of rocks on both islands.
A bit of trivia about this house.
The City of Worcester public records (2010)indicate the house at 274 Salisbury Street was built in 1820.
It is now located on a 1.32 acre lot.
1922 maps show it on 10 acres owned by Francis B. Stowell (Hrs).
1911 maps show it on 10 acres owned by H.S. Green.
1856, 1867, 1884 Worcester Directories show it belonging to two brothers,

Will always remember the "CHRISTMAS BELLS OF WPI" they played for the Christmas month and rang about 5PM to 8PM. The bells could be heard clearly at Elm Park.
Are they still a Christmas thing in the neighborhood?
WPI ia a super engineering school, was and is one of tops in the world. It's first name was "Worcester County Free Institute of Industrial Science", that goes back to the 1860's. And had free education for students in Worcester county, others students had to pay. All students worked at the schools shop making things sold and thus free education. The Shops built things, real hands on things, had a foundry and machine shop, hi-teck in the 1880's.
