Betty's Branch!!! My Uncle owned this property many many years ago. I can remember growing up and it seemed every day I and my cousin Berry were on the river fishing, swimming and in the summer we stayed many of night camping. My best bud and cousin Berry and I could always be found on the river. Looking at this photo brings so many memories flooding back that it's damn near painful. I truly do miss being able to walk down to the river and just spending time with my uncle and cousin. Uncle Wink ( Otis Wendell Bartlett) you r truly missed.
this ship was my home in 1961 for about a year. I sure enjoyed serving on board her and the places I got too see. I was assigned the V-2 division on the aft cats. This ship was fun fun fun.Also the people I met and worked with were great. Too any and all the crew members I served with, I say, ahoy mates.
