This home was built by Hayne Smith for Mike and Kitty Brady. It now sits backward on its foundation due to a storm. It is one of the older homes in Oyster.Miss Kittys daughter and son live in Cape Charles.

The headframe shown in the background is over what used to be the hand-dug water well for Goler Heights when it was an active mining town. The wooden wheel was part of a belt-drive pulley system for operating the well. The well has long since been dry, and now large owls nest in crevices many feet below the surface.
