Yes, the photo marker is in the right area. The truck was used by Lida Livestock for "jumping" (not drilling) Wells. The truck has since been removed from this location and now resides in the town of Gold Point, NV .
That's the old Line Shack associated with that Corral. 50 years ago it used to be a half-way decent place to stay. Cowboys from the area Ranches would stay there while they were rounding up stray cattle on the open range.
I know this beach as part of Adamson's Island. As a teenager my friends/cousins and I would either paddle a canoe over from the south shore or boat over for an afternoon and hope the man in the canoe would not come by to kick us off! The clear, fresh water lapping on that virgin sand under the hot summer sun make for terrific memories. The rocky cliffs just to the east of this beach are not only good for jumping into the water, but have a great harvest of blueberries in July. This is one of my favourite places in the world!
