A nicely balanced photograph with good use of light. The tree has an unusual and pleasing shape and the building on the right forms a natural end to the picture. Best of all it tells a story. Long distance, solo traveller taking a rest. You're left wondering where he'll go next.
Very atmospheric. The light coming in from top left gives a good fade away from the detail in the foreground. The people standing in the near distance give a good focal point.
Spring tides, when there is the greatest rise and fall, always have high water at 6 ish, both am and pm and low at at about midday. If you get Kingsbridge in either the early morning or early evening you will either find it to HW springs when there's lots and lots of water or it will be low water neaps, when there is the smaller rise and fall so there will be more water than at midday. There are of course all the in between scenarios. Good luck!

Thank you Simonjd, it was a grey and dull day with hardly anyone around, you're right the emptiness gives an errie feeling to the picture
Many thanks guys for your comments. It was an opportune moment early morning before breakfast with a low rising sun, the chance had to be taken
