Okay, I marked the spot. This tree was dedicated as the Bob Padgett Tulip Poplar in 1966 when the tree had a girth of 20 feet. You will find a picture of the plaque in this series.
Norgurgusman (north beach) where I slept on the sand with nothing but an army blanket for shelter and an intense star lighted sky for view. The Red Sea is very salty here and full of plant and animal sights within easy snorkel reach. It is also very hot even in winter. My thanks to the photographer for the memories.
