The Grootbos Foundation is a non-profit organisation which runs various projects in the Gansbaai area. The projects all have an emphasis on Conservation, and Social Upliftment and Empowerment. The Future Trees Project is a prime example of conserving our biosphere. Indigenous trees are planted to implement forest restoration, or in areas in Masakhane Township to improve urban greening.
