During an intense fire coins dropped by fleeing merchants have melted into the marble floor - detail from Foro Romano. (The green splodges/circles show the remains)

Niobid was the daughter of Queen Niobe. The statue was carved in about 440BC for a Greek temple - acquired by Julius Caesar. Location: The National Museum of Rome.
