This view is from Crawlees Road looking down towards Newtongrange. The main view is of the mining museum(Lady Victoria)The pit closed in 1981.The mining museum is a "must see" for all ages with well informed and friendly guides to show you around and answer any questions you may have. There's also a clean, well stocked cafe area and gift shop - worth a visit just for the relaxed atmosphere in this area alone.
