I love Geography. I was weaned on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and National Geogrphic specials. Now I watch Rick Steves and Lonely Planet's Globe Trekker. I want to stand in the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence again and imagine seeing the hidden da Vinci. I'd like to return to the places I have been. Venice. The land of the Samburu, home to the reticulated giraffe. In Africa. I want to go to Malawi. With Walawi. I want to go to Spain. I've been there before, but I haven't seen many places there yet.
I love to travel. Independently. With groups, both large and small. Eco-consciously, carefully, on foot, on horseback, on train, and yes, on plane. I sleep better on planes than anywhere else. I love to fly. I'd like to fly without using fossil fuels and just glide most of the way on an Airbus.
from Ian Wright: "The first step is in your head. So don't think about it, buy a flight ticket tomorrow and then worry about it on the plane. This is the hardest step."
"Don't lets ask for the moon when we have the stars." - Bette Davis in "Now Voyager"
"All the beauty you see in the world is a recognition of the beauty within you. The more beauty you see, the more beautiful you are."
"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.”
