The historic Kneebone Barn at Bridgeport now houses 11 gold-rush-era wagons which can be viewed from a corridor during Visitor Center hours. Call the center at 530-432-2546 to arrange a docent-led tour with close-up views and descriptions of all the wagons, and of an old horse-driven hay press.
The South Yuba River State Park Headquarters and Visitor Center is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day during the Summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day) and Thursday through Sunday otherwise. The center has many interesting displays, books and items to buy, and a restroom with indoor plumbing nearby! Call the center at 530-432-2546 with questions.
