To be honest when I stopped at the Gold Spike in 2006, I didn't think it was that bad? It was very cheap!!! The rooms were not the best, but if your not fussy like me, this is the one for you!
The reason why I think people do not like this place is because its full of the locals.
To me that's the best way you'll find out what the real Vegas is about!
When you go to Las Vegas you only use the room to sleep in and shower! So this was perfect for me and my brother :)
I'd stop there again!
