Vacker bild. Hela ditt lilla album är trevligt.

Hälsningar, Leif.

The steep roof will be covered by a marsh-grass (Cladium mariscus) two meters long.

I have heard that Japanese pottery was one of first in world and knowledge of pottery came through Siberia to west. By climatical aspects Japan is probably similar and thats the reason - islands and gulfs, like in Scandinavia. At least in northern part of Japan.

The museum farm of Petes is open during the summer months and offers a look on rural life of Gotland in days gone by. The house is built in an L-shape like many old farms. The lower wing might be attached to the main building (like here) or standing closely by at a right angle.

A pleasant change from the cliffs is offered by a smooth sandy beach and soft grass. This part of Sweden is the only place where you might notice the tide.

The water in the calm inlet is considerably warmer than in the sea just on the other side of the cliffs. The bathing season is generally from midsummer to the end of August, sometimes later. That is the period when water temperature is around 20´C.

Buy the end of June the shiny white panicles of the common cotton grass are dancing in the wind. It grows abundantly in the damp depressions where rainwater is captured.

Immense granite rocks at the nature reserv of Valön (Whale Island). The red (or rahter pinkish) granite is common on this part of the Swedish west coast but especially generously exposed here. The smooth and warm surface is heaven to wander barefoot on in the summer.

A busy route for sailors cruising the Swedish west coast and for norwegians heading south. Like this yacht flying the colours of Norway. The islets further out offer some protection from the common west winds and waves.
