I seem to remember that it was in the Umpqua Basin, but the column was visible from Medford. It was summer 2008.

I am a member of Alliance for Access to Sitka's Streams and Forests. Redoubt has been slated for conveyance to a private company that can sell it or keep the public off it and prevent fishing. Our group wants to preserve access. The corporation is Sealaska corporation, an alaska native corporation--it is not a tribe, but a business.
