I was in Apra Heights from 1955-1959. My nick name then was San Miquel, from the beer. One thing that I really remember about Apra Heights at that time was there were many large families and it was a real melting pot. The Apra Heights Cubs won in little league. I got my first car there, one of the many 49 Fords put on the market by the military. We found many war souvineers, especially after the sword grass burned on Mt Tenjo. I didn't want to leave.
