Keith McGraw's conversations
Dear Keith,
I worked in Kien Hoa Province from January 1971 to July 1972 with the Agency of International Development CORDS program as a civilian adivsor. I was a brand new Foreign Service Officer at the time and this was my first overseas assignment. I remember meeting your father on one or more occasions when he came from My Tho Province, just across the Mekong River to the north of Kien Hoa, to visit Albert Kotzebue, our Province Senior Advisor.
These pictures are beautiful and take me back 37 years to my time in the Mekong Delta.

Did you take this during the war? Its very artistic, . . . a contrast of art and war.

Mr. McGraw,
That's about where I was at that time. I was a Construction Electrician 2 as a communicator for our detachment (Detail Echo) from Mobile Construction Battalion (MCB-9) Nine. The other picture of the tin roofs look an awful lot like our hooches. We established a rock crusher site to facilitate repairs to Rt. One. Thanks for the pictures. All mine are in black and white. Was just looking at my cruise book this afternoon. How strange that I look at the approximate site on GE and find your timely pictures. Thanks again. Skip Westfield

Nice pic, Bob. Still looked about like this in 1970 when I was there. Think I recently tagged a similar one. k

It's what we did isn't it. I have nearly the same shot over a chess board.
