Ja, von hier wanderteten meine Eltern September 1953 nach Sydney, Australien aus. Ich war damals 3 Jahre alt. Das Schiff hiess die "Fairsea". Ankunft in Australien was 18 Oktober, 1953. Vater war von Vegesack, Bremen und Mutter von Bottrop im Kohlenpott.Wanderten 1963 nach Amerika aus und sind immer noch da. Wolfgang Drude

My parents migrated to Sydney, Australia from this pier in September of 1953. I was 3 years old at the time. The name of the ship was the "Fairsea" and we arrived in Australia on October 18, 1953. Dad was from Vegesack, Bremen and mom from Bottrop in the Ruhr area. Migrated to America in 1963 and are still there to date.
