The Cathedral was severely damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010-2011. The three domes have all been destroyed or deconstructed and there was other major structural damage. Discussion is ongoing as to whether it can be partially restored.

Actually I have recently been back to Lambley and this bench seat is still there in the same place. The gardens have expanded since I was last there in 2008 but this scene is still relevant. I am, however, attempting to correct the pin as it seems to have been moved.

There is now a 'car parking area' on this site...

Yes it was taken from the train while stopped at the station. It appears to be inflated but I don't know what is holding it up after the holes are put in for the windows - sprayed with something to make it rigid?
