A place of such brutality - this must have been very moving to visit.

AFAIK, this is a quad trail that heads off to the east and to the west. There are quad trails and staging areas all through the area.

Arturo, you should change this location from Guelph Ontario to read Norwood, Ontario. Guelph is 300 km to the west of Norwood Ontario

The American south west is known for it's Geoglyphs unfortunately this wasn't one of them. A Friend has a web page explaining a bit more what Geoglyphs are and where to find them. http://www.bubbappg.com/Geoglyphs.htm

I believe those are Canadian poles. I think they violated some rules by putting them there. My understanding is that nothing is to be erected within 15 feet of the boundary line without approval from the Intl. Boundary Commission
