Canada place was constructed for Expo 86 as the Pavilion for Canada. The building overlooks the Burrard Inlet waterfront and is home to Vancouver's Convention Centre, Pan Pacific Hotel and the wolrd's first IMAX 3D theatre. It is the main cruise ship terminal and has become a prominent landmark with it five distinctive white sails.
