Jim Buchal's conversations

The Weabers along with several other families were pioneers of Tennant Creek and founded several gold mines. I.e Rising Sun, Kimberly Kids, Weabers find, and Nobles Knob. Mrs Weaber who named the mines named Nobles knob after Jack Noble, who at the time worked for the Weabers. The house in top right of photo was the Weabers home. This is looking South down the Main street. Prior to building this home they lived out at the mines in a bough shed.

This is a photo of Kevan Weaber circa 1933. Son of William Weaber the founder of Nobles Knob. A young Kevan is holding 2 gold bars. This photo is now an iconic mural in Tennant Creek. The Weaber family who were part of the first pioneers to Tennant Creek also discovered other mines. I.e, The Rising Sun, Kimberly Kids, Weabers find
