Hi Paul, thank you for your kind comments, you may or may not no but since you say you were only 5yrs old the area has changed a little since then. Indeed Sark Walk is not accessible to vehicles as the name would suggest, but there is parking for residents at strategic points. I have seen no evidence of a black taxi parked along those points, however there is a taxi often parked in a small compound at the back of the shops in PRL with its entrance in Jersey Road. This road continues into Sark Walk, if you think this could be the one you're thinking of, just say the word and I could make an approach.
