Galerie: Traditional farm houses in Open Air museum - Marketplace - Customs - My oldest digital photos und Scans / Meine ältesten Digital-Fotos http://www.panoramio.com/user/swissmay3 ************************************************************************ Photos are one of my passions ! For many years I am practically taking photos only with my digital cameras. Meanwhile I have a large collection of photos from Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Canarian Islands and some other places. In my archives are waiting many photos and Dias of the countries above and Italy, Balkan, Anatolia, Peninsula of Spain, France, etc to be scanned. Thank you for visiting, May Fotos sind eine meiner Leidenschaften. ************************************** My start in Panoramio 05.07.2007 **************************************

Gruss, May

There are days it can take me that long to cross the George Washington Bridge into New York City :-)

Cheers,

Hank

Obejmout. --Paco--

Thanks Jose, I always like dropping over to your gallery! one of my Favs!!! Thanks h

May, I cannot speak to the war years, but I'd guess, aside from air raid drills, the reality was pretty remote (except of course for the lives and families disrupted by military service and worse).

I remember the drills a few years later when I was in school during Korea and the cold war. When you watched the news to see film of nuclear explosions, it seemed ludicrous to crawl under a desk at school to gain "safety." Even in grade (elementary) school we knew New York City would be "ground zero."

I'm sure my attitudes and beliefs were changed by it.

My best you you.

Hank

Hans, thanks a lot! I have started a special gallery for b/w photos. Sometimes it's good to go back to monochrome photos, because one has to reduce to the essential.

Greetings, May

Ivan, thanks a lot! There are few people who regret, that winter will soon be over, I think! ;)

Best regards, May

May. Today there are no dominican people in the beaches, only tourists Norwegians, Swiss, germanys, canadiens. Today we have 20 degrees centigrade temperature is too cold for us. I glad you like that the picture with the caribbean's hot sun. Greetings.
