I like the picture, i recognised it immediatly.
I took the same picture in july 1982, while i stayed for 5 days on "L Amadeé" with te lighthousekeeper Felix and his wife Nathalie in there small wooden house.In those days there were no safetynets along the stairs. I hope the lighthouse still runs on petroleum, the lighthousekeeper had to prepare the light every night before sunset. I helped him towing up canisters with petroleum and so on. I see the island has commercialised. There was one skipper who kept the connection with the mainland, with his motoryacht. It was the Kiwi Jack Owen with his Nw. Caledoniën wife. If he still lives he must be in his seventies. I enjoyed my stay on the island in those days, started every morning with a swim instead of a shower and so on. Now i return once in a while on google earth.
