I do have some Scottish ancestry, Ewan, on both sides (more on the maternal), but my dad was stationed at Burtonwood AFB, and we made day trips with several of Mom's relatives, who lived at least somewhat locally :O)
Lol... it's definitely NOT Pitlochry, it's the western end of Princes Street looking towards Calton Hill... That tall 'pointy tower' (just left of centre) is the Scott Monument.
