Nice photo with the swimming complex in the background. If you go East on Pingxifu Road from where you took the photo, about 100 metres away is an old house set back in the woods at the bend of the river (left hand side of the road). This is one of my favorite houses. It is very old and run-down but would be a great house if fixed up.

Sorry, you are right, this is the high school across the street from a very important government building. The students here wear blue uniforms and many make their way to MacDonald's on Sanlihu Street at noon....haha

The only reason for this big English sign is that the store is in Xidan where many young people shop and most of them know English.

A very boring street, at least up at the corner (far distant ) is a new hospital.

This is absolutely one of the most boring places in Beijing. Behind the bushes are nothing but real estate companies (many), a few restaurants and one or two convience stores and a wide sidewalk where you dodge cars.

And why does Google Earth tag these photos of Lishuiqiao as being 3 Km from Beiyuan. Beiyuan might be larger than Lishuiqiao but it is only a "bedroom" suburb of Beijing and not as important a suburb as Lishuiqiao.
