Thank you for posting these pictures! I was taking a walk down memory lane when I discovered this photo. As a child in the 1960's, I lived in a house directly across the street from this line house. This house also fell between the border stations. 1/2 of the house was in Canada, the other 1/2, the U.S. A. That house burned down after my family moved out. I was wondering if the old line house was still standing.
I was there earlier this week. The abandoned home has/had a US mailbox on the east side of the road but on the US side. I agree that part of the house (maybe 1/3) is in the US. The border cairn can be walked around completely by somebody approaching from QC but from the NY side the fence gets in the way. Technically, that thin sliver of land (maybe 2 m wide) of NY is not accessible from NY.
