This tree is the oldest olive tree in Greece (Over 2,000 years old) and one of the oldest in the world . Its leaves were used to make the Marathon Race wreaths in eh Athens 2004 Olympic Games . The tree can be found located in the village of Vouves, Crete, Greece.

Yes, it is a lovely place when the weather is pleasent, but if it is raining, gales galore or simply hail or snow, it is not quite so pleasent.

But while we did the Milford Track in mostly sunny, but coolish weather, my brother and family did not see the sun from the time they left Christchurch until the returned some 8 or 9 days later. Got almost rained out of the Milford, with it being raincoat need all the time while outdoors. So they did not get much in the way of photos.

Not so good for their American companions, who expected good weather - it was winter in the northern part of USA and summer in NZ!

You get what you get dished up weathersize...

Cheers from ChCh!
