This Cycle path follows the old railway line that terminated at Gatwen transport yard upto the late 70's, bringing coal for road distribution. It joined the rail network just after the new Maelor Hospital car park (which follows the railway cut) and the remnants can just be seen on Google Earth. It may also have linked to the old railway neywork that served Brymbo and the Moss valley.
