Before it was the Lodge it was Dann's Dairy and you could watch the cows get milked and buy ice cream cones.

I lived around the corner on Denison Parkway and attended kindergarten here when it was School 2.

This is actually a dike system that was built after Lane Construction were finished digging fill that was used in the construction of the new ERIE Railroad route thrugh Corning in 1950--1952. This dike system was constructed after 1953.

These "ponds" as you refer to them as, is actually the former Cohocton River channel Bottom. The present River was moved when the Erie Relocated 8.2 miles of it's Corning Mainline in 1952. The new channel was dug and the old was filled in. The Artierial Highway was built , the Traffic Circle and the super interchange followed.

I remember when this was nice and clean and people would actually use the park. That was when there were stores downtown. That was while I was a kid growing up about 20 years ago. They used to have the downtown clean up where a bunch of volunteers got together and cleaned up the park and the downtown area.

Yes it is Polly-O and still is. It's just owned by Kraft Foods now.

This is Cutler Creek and it is Riverside ,NY. The Bike path bridge is situated on what was once the Right of way of the Lackawanna Railroad. This line ran between Hoboken and Buffalo , NY. The line was ripped up in the late 1960's.

This is the home of the Elmira College president.

That was St. Mary's when I was a kid. Went there through 6th grade.
