My Panoramio pages will guide you through my entire evolution as a photographer ... from the very beginning when I was the happiest of the snappers through today, where I am still the happiest of snappers! :) Take your time and look around - you're guaranteed to find a wide and diverse collection of subjects here!

Kevin Childress's conversations

Yep, Vann, that's what you see - around 400-feet of it, I think! I had tried to photograph this a couple times before but the water was brown and muddy from earlier rain. I finally hit it where the water was flowing rather clean!

Thanks, Vann, this definitely is a pretty space. I think this was one of my first church interiors after moving to Gaston County.

Wonderful Picture!!!!

Thank you, Kevin and Ken!

Thank you, Ken and Sixten! I did not get out there often enough this year - so let that be one of my New Year's resolutions :)

Yes, I can see the difference!

Yes, Sir, f/22 is my go-to aperture for that effect. I used f/22 the very first time I went for a star burst, it worked well, and I've never (intentionally) tried any other f-stop. Fortunately for me this lens is still really sharp at that small aperture!

Excellently captured moment with a fine idea.

Thank you, Kevin and Florentine ( Exactly! Only two little exceptions I realized only later: Maybe the big bear in a very light sleep somewhere there..? And that photo hobby hobbit escaping by skiing? :)

Best Wishes & Season's Greetings
