Wow, Kevin. Can't say I like the subject matter, but it's a great photo! Wonderful colour and composition. like Love the title, too!

Very nice location,voted+like!

Yup. Strangely enough, there are black-crowned night herons (exact same species) in Hawaii, and throughout SE Asia! No, non-migratory. Looks like there's a separate population in North Am. Wintering right around your neighborhood, perhaps? Or further south?

Thanks Kevin!! It looks a bit grim but the weather stayed nice that day.

I like my Tamron lens. I think it make photos with decent sharpness and works well with my camera. It's been my trusty main lens for two years now. I think this panorama came out pretty well, the place is nice and the weather was good. Thanks for your comment and for dropping by. :)

Thanks Kevin!! I'm happy with the clouds too, but I didn't do anything deliberate to make them like this. I think the PP settings I'm using in Photomatix works well. I know Canon cameras tend to overexpose a little, so I'm making all daylight photos a bit darker by tweaking the in camera exposure settings, in an attempt to avoid whiteout. I think my photos benefit from that.

Very neat ... would like to see it wi' my own eyes.

Nagyon jó,így kiemelkedve .L+YS.

Love this one. Nice find!
