MORE ORNITHOLOGICAL / ANCIENT CHATTER from an equally ancient chappie

It is so true that GCG's do beat a rapid retreat from cameras and the attendant photographer, an explanation may well be the fact that this creatures Beautiful plumage could be the reason.

In days gone, the GCG was hunted for the plumes and iridescent plumage to adorn Milliners creations, perhaps we are seeing an increase in numbers because they are no longer hunted .

Just as Magpies are no longer rare, the Crested Grebe may be following suit!
