Kevin Childress's conversations

Yes, I can see the difference!

Yes, Sir, f/22 is my go-to aperture for that effect. I used f/22 the very first time I went for a star burst, it worked well, and I've never (intentionally) tried any other f-stop. Fortunately for me this lens is still really sharp at that small aperture!

Excellently captured moment with a fine idea.

Thank you, Kevin and Florentine ( Exactly! Only two little exceptions I realized only later: Maybe the big bear in a very light sleep somewhere there..? And that photo hobby hobbit escaping by skiing? :)

Best Wishes & Season's Greetings

Fabulous photo, Kevin. Excellent composition, wonderful macro. like and favourite

Cheers,

Patty

Really liked ur shot. I have shot this similar species here in India, with the spider boasting that same bizarre zig-zag pattern on it's web. I guess this formation has more to do with a defence mechanism to deter any predator that may threaten this guy(if there's any), than to be about actually catching the prey itself. But who knows, maybe this one wants to appear a bit "photogenic" :) :). But anyways,it's a great shot. Liked.

Yo, KC!!! Thanks for all the compliments and very good to hear from you! I use Feedly.com to keep up with all my fav Pano-peeps ... seems like I haven't seen anything from you in the longest. But just this morning I get a flurry of uploads from Connecticut of all damn places. Are you visiting family?

Quite a story as well as quite an image Kevin. Great stuff.

I had an auntie that looked like this.

I did the same Kevin. Then I discovered that the very slightest puff of a breeze set the flower vibrating in the minutest motion, and ruined the picture. What was needed was four panes of glass to surround the flower and shelter it entirely from any of the slightest air movement at all.
