Somewhere along this stretch of Chestnut Avenue, (just after the flyover of BKE) on Aug 8 2000, a 42yr old taxi-driver Mr Koh Ngiap Yong was murdered by 3 malay robbers namely Wan Kamil, 34yr, Ibrahim, 35yr and Rosli, 30yr. In Oct 2000, all 3 were arrested and in Sep 2001 sentenced to suffer DEATH. 3 weeks later, Wan Kamil and Ibrahim robbed and shot a 39yr old Indian money-changer at Jalan Kukoh. I was the Investigating Officer.
