This picture is taken from the site of a row of property which, starting from the junction on the right and coming towards camera, consisted of Haywards Butchers shop (with canopy over front - a regular meeting place on the corner) - a Bank (I think Barclays) and then the Library followed by a number of cottages, this is as I remember it when I left the Village at age 21 in 1965.At the other side of the Junction ,from telephone box going away was a large house on the corner followed by a garage forecourt then a hardware shop and a row of cottages with other rows stepped behind them on unmade roads (Johnny Woods Row?).
