I think this part of the Banbury - Cheltenham railway line closed in 1968, and I must have crossed this bridge in 1978 when I walked along the old railway trackbed from Kingham to Kings Sutton. I remember just before this bridge I came to the canal which I had to find a way to cross. I came to a drawbridge which I had to get onto and jump to the other side and backtrack to this bridge and reach Kings Sutton Station.
Back in 1978 I walked along the course of the old line from Kingham to Kings Sutton. I've an idea I was still able to walk through this tunnel then, though when I reached the viaduct just afterwards I think just the pillars were left.
Back in 1977 I walked along the course of the old Cheltenham - Kingham line. At that time most of the route was still accessible and all the station platforms along the old line were still there.
The Alma/Windemere Road pub was the Bass House. So the Double Barrel has now closed after all those years! I guess the Warden Hill crowd now go to the Greatfield pub (which was a cows field when I used to live there 1970s).

great picture, and it required a lot of effort and artistry as I remember trying to get one like that.
