Looks more like the silt and mud we have been getting here in Christchurch.

Its the liquifaction after the aftershocks we're getting daily here!!!

Seems to be happening every month, we have a high '5.' somting magnitude aftershock, or in the '' mark. Then the ground opens up in all sorts of places, out comes the silt/mud stuff.

Just like your photo... You don't need ear-buds, just a shovel, spade and barow.

In fact, some 7350 shakes since Sept 4, 2010.
