Top floor of building was the original CEO of Bumble Bee's Global Cannery operations Penthouse/Home. This tower still stands, but the pier and the Bumble Bee office building is now completely burned to the pilings.

Sadly, This pier at the North end of 6th Street was involved in a huge fire and the Bumble Bee CEO's penthouse and office complex, as well as the Cannery Cafe were a total loss. I worked for the property management company that managed this place. It was a horrible loss.

I would appreciate permission to use this photo, and perhaps one or two other photos of Astoria and the Columbia River, in a short YouTube video I am making for educational, nonprofit purposes. The photo would be placed on a timeline of events that took place in 1811. Many thanks.

Another, VERY NICE picture of "Neawanna Creek", in Gearhart,Oregon. (The "Necanicum River" is about 6 blocks southwest of where this photo was taken). Still, a very good shot of the creek during low tide!
