Many people were dislocated to highlands.

This photo was taken by Benjamin Sheehama in 2009. It is about student teachers being trained at Ongwediva College of Education specialising in Languages. Most of these students will teach at local schools on completion of their course. It is a course aimed at training teachers to teach grades from 1-10. The college enrolls more than 280 student teachers every year. The course runs for three years.

Many people in Namibia are developing attitudes of growing fruit trees near their homes. This LEMON tree was spotted at Okatana location. The leaves of this tree shows that it is one of those type which can bear fruits. Depending on the individual, fruits can be sold or consumed at home by the family members.

This fish trap was photographed near Endola in 2009, February. During the rain season, people who have skills how to trap fish with nets place them and open spaces left for the water go through. In this way because water is always flowing (south), fish will move together with running water without noticing that they are being trapped. Trapped fish can be sold, dried and reserved as food consumption during the dry season.
