Pup fish have adapted to the saline water of Salt Creek as the valley dried up over the millenia. Believe it or not, thousands of these little fish thrive seasonally in this small creek.
I took this photo as we were leaving Schulman Grove. While hiking the Methuselah Trail the weather had gone from gloomy to snowy, to sunny, then this. It was a perfect day.
