I thought I would post a comment here as I wanted to reply to your suggestion about my Loch Thom photo. I took the photo out the window of a flight shortly after taking off from Glasgow Airport. We flew west after take off and I am certain the loch is in the hills somewhere above Greenock. I had a little difficulty figuring out exactly which loch it actually was but the shape does match the outline of Loch Thom if you look at it from one particular angle. I will take a look next time I am down in Greenock and see if I can identify the buildings at the dammed end of the Loch which are shown in the photo.
