And dont forget the kiling of hundred thousands of his enemies, students, other party members etc. Inside the country he made himself enough enemies...just in few months as president. The Afghan Army was really strong during the time of Zahir Shah but later get separated in Paston, Tajik, Khalq, Parcham etc. On those days, even the Porkistani Army didnt tryed to come close to AFG border. Btw Amin was a Stalinist, thats what he alwys told to the Soviet Advicers. And dont forget, to contoll AFG or such parts is not possible. You need the support of the People...just look at NATO...they failed with their 130.000 Soldiers + 100.000 Contractors + Afghan Army + Afghan Police...
